CHARLOTTE (WTVD) -- A man was arrested after a teen was shot Monday night in the bus parking lot at Carowinds theme park.

Brock Alexander Beuley-Goodridge, 22, was charged with attempted murder Tuesday.

Deputies said a 14-year-old was shot twice in the abdomen after the suspect drove up and fired several shots.

Authorities responded to the call about 7:15 p.m. on the South Carolina side of the park, according to WSOC.

Paramedics said the victim suffered serious injuries but there's been no update on his condition.

Authorities said they believed the shooting was an isolated incident and may have stemmed from something that happened inside of the park, authorities said.

Deputies said an eyewitness at a gas station just outside the park on Carowinds Boulevard heard someone in the suspect's car talking about going to the park and assaulting the victim.

Carowinds officials said they were helping in the investigation.
