Man facing kidnapping, indecent liberties with child charges in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities in Fayetteville have arrested a man in connection with a kidnapping and indecent liberties with a child incident that happened last week.

Officials charged 22-year-old Damon Ward Tuesday with second-degree kidnapping, indecent liberties with a child, and felony indecent exposure involving a 14-year-old victim.

Authorities said Ward was an acquaintance of the victim when the incident happened on Aug. 28.

Ward is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on an $80,500 secured bond.
