RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Wahlburgers, the upscale hamburger chain founded by the family of actor Mark Wahlberg, is coming to the Triangle.

The chain announced Tuesday that it will open its first North Carolina location at 319 Fayetteville St. in downtown Raleigh.

Wahlburgers was started by executive chef Paul Wahlberg and his actor/musician brothers, Mark and Donnie.

"With such a dynamic group of shops, restaurants and attractions, downtown Raleigh is at the height of economic growth and we look forward to serving this diverse and thriving neighborhood."

Wahlburgers said it offers a chef-inspired menu that highlights creative burgers, sandwiches and Wahlberg family favorite dishes created with only the best and freshest ingredients.

The restaurant will feature both a fast casual counter and spacious full-service dining room with an expansive bar in addition to a small retail section with branded Wahlburgers T-shirts, hats, and more.
