FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police say a woman has died after being struck by a car late Tuesday night.

It happened just before 11 p.m. on N. Reilly Road, near Crown Avenue.

Authorities say the driver of a 1987 Chevrolet Corvette hit 42-year-old Michelle Elizabeth Brady as she was crossing the roadway.

She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in critical condition, and later died from her injuries.

It is unclear if the driver of the Corvette, 48-year-old Kelvin Lankford, was injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
