Missing children found in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- There was a happy ending in Durham Monday morning when a father awoke to find two young boys missing.

The children, aged 3 and 4, apparently got out through the door of a home on Eugene Street near Grant Park while a father slept.

He awoke and frantically began searching.

Police found the boys at a nearby apartment complex. They appeared to be asleep as they were carried out by officers after their late-night adventure.

The children's father was overcome with emotion when he learned they were safe.
