I-40 lanes close in Wake County after crash
An early morning crash led to lane closures on I-40 in Wake County

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- An early Sunday morning crash involving a sheriff's deputy on I-40 westbound caused lane closures in Wake County.

It happened near Airport Boulevard. Deputy Paul Dunn was not hurt.

It is unknown how many other cars were involved or if anyone else was injured.

Highway Patrol is investigating and will send details when they are available.
