HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hillsborough police arrested a man Monday in an armed robbery at an apartment complex that happened on Oct. 22.

Jermarise Dejuan Bolden, 25, was taken into custody and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police responded on Oct. 22 to the Ashford Lake apartments where two people said they were held at gunpoint and robbed of $1,200 and a cellphone.

The victims told authorities they had arranged to meet at the complex to buy two iPhone 7s.

Bolden was taken to the Orange County Jail under a $25,000 bond.

Police want to remind people to use a public location for purchases from a stranger -- the Orange County Sheriff's Office on Margaret Lane is a designated area for such purchases.

Anyone with additional information about the robbery should contact Investigator John Kempf by email or by phone at (919) 732-9381, ext. 32.
