President Barack Obama spoke with Raleigh radio station WDCG about a topic he rarely covers - his daughters' dating life.

Obama was speaking with the DJ about how his most treasured times over the years were his 6:30 dinners with the family, and how recently Malia and Sasha started "ditching" the family meals.

The DJ then asked what Obama would do when the First Daughters start dating.

"Oh, that happened," Obama replied. "The truth is, I'm pretty relaxed about it for two reasons. One is, Michelle, she's such a great example of how she carries herself, her self-esteem not depending on boys to validate how you look or not letting yourself be judged by anything other than your character and intelligence."

"Hopefully I've been a good example in terms of how I show respect to my wife," Obama added.

The president joked the other reason he doesn't worry about it is "because they have Secret Service."

"These poor young men come by the house," Obama said, laughing.

"They have no idea," the DJ joked.

"Oh, they have an idea," Obama hinted. "I describe for them."
