Narcotics investigation leads to arrest in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- U.S. Marshals arrested a man at a Chapel Hill residence after a joint narcotics investigation conducted by Chapel Hill and Carrboro police departments.

Benjamin Gilbert Uhlenberg, 36, was arrested Wednesday about 9:15 a.m. in the 300 block of McMasters Street.

Uhlenberg was charged with five felony counts of sell or deliver Cocaine, five felony counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, two felony counts of sell or deliver heroin, two felony counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, and two felony counts of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances.

Members of the Joint Fugitive Task Force learned that Uhlenberg was at the address on McMasters Street. He was then taken into custody without incident.

Uhlenberg is being held at the Durham County Jail on $250,000 secured bond.

A .45 caliber handgun and 23.5 grams of crack cocaine were also seized at the residence.

Authorities said Uhlenberg may face additional charges.
