North Carolina Central University led the University of Missouri from start to finish for a resounding 62-52 win Monday night.

It was a statement win on the road for the Eagles, who beat an SEC opponent for the first time in school history.

Pablo Rivas went 6-for-6 from the floor and finished with 16 points and six rebounds at Mizzou Arena to pace the Eagles, who have won four consecutive games.

NCCU improved to 4-2 on the season, while the Tigers fell to 3-3.

Patrick Cole led NCCU with 17 points. DaJuan Graf finished with 12.

The Eagles held a 24-20 lead at the break and kept that lead all the way through to the conclusion, holding off multiple surges from the Tigers.

NCCU opens December with a home contest against Southern Wesleyan on Thursday, Dec. 1 at McDougald-McLendon Arena.
