Highway Patrol SUV strikes pedestrian on Raleigh street

RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- An SUV owned by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol struck a woman crossing Peace Street in Raleigh early Sunday morning, Raleigh Police confirmed.

The pedestrian, a woman in her early 20s, was not in a crosswalk when she was hit around 3:30 a.m. According to a wreck report, the woman is suspected of being impaired by alcohol.

She has non-life-threatening injuries.
