Dress for Success holds boutique sale

Dress For Success Triangle NC is holding a boutique sale on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. at Northgate Mall in Durham.

The nonprofit opens its doors three times a year for boutique sales of donated items. Many items are designer brand and new while others are gently used. All are priced at deep discounts.

"It's wonderful," explained Beth Briggs, Dress For Success Triangle Executive Director. "Items are 20 percent off retail on most items," she said. "We have a lot of new items, a gently used designer section. We have shoes, handbags, we have extraordinary deals-great deals."

This weekend, there will be personal shoppers to help customers find the perfect gifts or sizes. Money raised goes back into the Triangle nonprofit.

"Our mission is to help unemployed and underemployed women find meaningful employment and economic security," Briggs said. "This generates about 25 percent of our operating cost. So, every cent you pay every cent to buy an item goes to support a woman and help her get back to work," she said.

Come at 9 a.m. and for a $20 donation, you can shop an hour early.
