Driver cheats carpool lane with mannequin

WASHINGTON (WTVD) -- You might have to look twice to realize that's not a real passenger.

Washington State Patrol officers said a driver tried to pass a mannequin off as a real person so he could drive in the carpool lane.

Troopers said the violator was driving 81 miles per hour. He got a ticket for speeding and HOV violation.

Authorities note both the driver and mannequin were wearing seatbelts.
