WEST COVINA, California (WTVD) -- A bizarre incident ended at a California police station Monday when an officer tackled a man with a baseball bat from behind.
It began when the man showed up in front of the police station and started swinging the bat at the windows.
He then walked to the front entrance - threatening to come in - and still swinging at the glass doors.
Then all of a sudden, a police officer tackled the man from behind and other officers jumped in to help.
The man was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. Police said he was later transferred to a local hospital for evaluation.
