Witnesses said the woman stopped and then sped away after she struck the pedestrian.

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Durham Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian was struck Monday night.

It happened at South Roxboro Street and Piedmont Avenue.

Police say a woman hit a man and kept going.

The victim flew over her car and hit another driver's windshield.

The driver of the second car did stop.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses said the hit and run driver was wearing a blue uniform like nurses wear, driving a gold Mazda 626, and had curly hair and glasses.
