US-70 shut down in Garner because of natural gas leak

GARNER, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Police closed US-70 at Vandora Springs Road in Garner because of a natural gas leak Tuesday.

Traffic was detoured off the highway in both directions.

Pictures from Chopper 11 HD showed a construction crew hit a gas line.

The highway reopened after the leak was capped.
