Officers were called about a shooting in the parking lot of a Waffle House in the 3500 block of Hillsborough Road, near Highway 15 501.

Authorities said a man was grazed on the elbow by gunfire from a random gun that was fired during a nearby fight.

A woman also reported being cut over her left eye while watching that same incident.

The incident stemmed from an earlier altercation from TGI Friday's, according to police. Shell casings were found at a parking lot near Zaxby's.
