Giant oak tree falls, blocks road on Duke's East Campus

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A giant oak tree that fell Friday night blocked Campus Drive on Duke's East Campus.

A crew began the rather large task of cutting up and removing the tree from the road on Friday night.

The area between Anderson Street and Traffic Circle was closed to traffic while the tree was removed.

Fortunately, no one was on the road when the tree fell.
