DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) --Two people have been arrested after a Tuesday night chase turned into a standoff with Durham Police.
It all began with a carjacking around 10:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on Cheek Road.
The victims told police they were getting out of their car when a man with a gun walked up and demanded the car keys before taking off with the vehicle.

The victims also told police a second male was waiting nearby in a gray car and followed the stolen vehicle out of the parking lot.

A Durham police officer spotted the stolen car on East Club Boulevard and started following it. The driver was identified as 23-year-old Davayon Traquell Jones of Durham.
The chase ended on Danube Lane in north Durham where Jones abandoned the vehicle and went inside an apartment at the Oxford Manor apartments and refused to come out.
Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, the standoff ended. Officers said they found Jones under a sink in an apartment.
Jones was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony speeding to elude law enforcement officers, driving without a license, and hit-and-run.
Jones was placed in the Durham County Jail under a $350,000 bond.
A 15-year-old male was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a stolen vehicle. Officers said the teen was driving the gray car, which had also been reported stolen. He was arrested on Dearborn Drive.
