2 hurt in Apex head-on crash

APEX, NC (WTVD) -- Two people were hurt Monday morning in a head-on collision just north of Apex.

It happened on Highway 55 at Jenks Road after 7 a.m.

Pictures from the scene showed an SUV and a sedan in what appeared to be a head-on crash.

One adult in each vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
