RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Two more teenagers are headed to prison after pleading guilty to the 2012 beating death of a man on a Raleigh greenway.

Terry Massenburg , 17, was sentenced to 20 months in prison Wednesday after agreeing to plead guilty to robbery conspiracy and accessory charges.

It was noted in court that he did not participate directly in the attack on Reginald Brown. Brown had been down on his luck and was sometimes

living on the Rocky Branch Greenway south of downtown Raleigh.

With credit for time served, Massenburg could be out of prison by the end of the year.

His mother, Folanda Massengburg, told ABC11 that she tried to keep her son away from the gang known as "Big Money Swag," which was responsible for Brown's murder and the assault on homeless people.

She said she's glad it's now been made public that her son isn't a murderer.

"It was hard for both of us living in a neighborhood that did not have a lot of good goals around it," said Folanda Massenburg. "I'm just thankful that God has saved my son, and my condolences again go out to the Brown family. I hate that it had to happen that way. I really do."

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Raheem Hall did take part in the beating of Brown.

A prosecutor told the judge that when Brown fought back and hit Hall in the face, Hall started to cry. He said that enraged the teens and they began beating Brown more fiercely.

Hall pleaded guilty to robbery and second degree murder. He was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years and will get credit for the nearly two years he has served.

There is one other suspect charged in adult court who hasn't pleaded yet. He is expected to do so next week.

Last week, the teenager pegged as the ringleader, Angel Sean Muniz, was sentenced to life in prison.
