CHARLOTTE (WTVD) -- Authorities say a suspect is in custody after two Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were shot late Sunday afternoon.
The shooting happened near Tom Hunter Road and North Tryon Street.
Police said Brandon Jamorris Brewer, 27, is in police custody following a standoff.
Authorities say the incident started when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 400 block of Kingville Road.
One officer was hit in the leg and arm by what police think were shotgun pellets. Another officer was shot in the face.
Officials say a 10-year-old girl was also hurt in the incident but will be okay.
WSOC reports the officers have minor injuries and have been transported to Carolinas Medical Center. Both are listed in good condition.
Charlotte's police chief called it a very lucky day that no one is dead and no one was seriously hurt.
