One person shot in Cumberland County, authorities say

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- One person is in the hospital after being shot in the head Saturday afternoon.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 3 p.m. near Kim Steet and Elon Street.

Deputies said the victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the head.
