Durham Police respond to West End shooting

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Durham police responded to a shooting late Sunday in West End.

Gunfire erupted on Gerard Street, and moments later, police found a man with a gunshot wound on Erwin Road near Anderson Street.

An ABC11 crew at the scene said the victim was being loaded into an ambulance.

There was no immediate word on the victim's condition.

No word of any arrests.

The shooting remains under investigation.
