Raleigh Moms CARE, a group of local volunteers who support charities involving children, is stepping up to help the tiniest victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Within six hours, the group fulfilled an Amazon Baby Registry that purchased 31,608 diapers for the Texas Diaper Bank who put out the urgent need for diapers on its Facebook page. Besides the diapers, through donations, Raleigh Moms CARE Registry provided wipes and diaper cream to help those who lost everything. The donations are already filling the Diaper Bank of Texas.

If you would still like to donate, the Texas Diaper Bank put up a wish list of their own that you can donate through.

Besides helping babies and children, Raleigh Moms CARE is also teaming up with Cause for Paws of NC to help support the four-legged victims of Harvey.

Cause for Paws is working with shelters in and around the Houston area that have been affected by Harvey. These shelters have expressed that they are not in need of physical donations, but they are seeking assistance making room for the influx of dogs needing shelter. Cause for Paws has offered to bring as many dogs from those shelters to foster homes here in NC as they are able.

Raleigh Moms CARE wants to help Cause For Paws prepare for the potential influx of dogs under their care in the wake of this disastrous storm. It has created an Amazon Wish List. All items will be shipped directly to Cause for Paws to disperse to their fosters.
