2 charged, 1 arrested in connection with Halifax County drive-by shooting

ENFIELD (WTVD) -- Three people have been charged following a drive-by shooting, Halifax County officials said.

Deputies said the incident occurred early Sunday morning near Fishing Creek Road.

During their investigation, authorities determined that the motive for the shooting was caused by a break-in that happened earlier at Old Hotel Road.

Warrants were issued for 28-year-old Jerrod Ivey Brinson and 30-year-old Charles Leon Brinson Jr.

Deputies said 27-year-old Rashad Monte Carter, who lives where the drive-by occurred, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the case of Old Hotel Road.
