North Carolina Emergency Management took to Twitter on Monday, to urge folks to prepare and have their emergency kits ready.

But what should you have in there?

While some folks we spoke to said they're not prepping yet, the manager of Ace Hardware in south Durham, said their store isn't taking any chances.

"We get multiple trucks a week from our distribution center, so will have a truck coming on Wednesday and another truck on Friday," store manager Jeff Miles said, "so we'll be prepared if it decides to come up the East Coast."

"Definitely, definitely been watching the forecast, Durham resident Christie Graczyk said. "You know it seems like there's this huge span of where it could possibly hit, so at this point am I nervous? Am I scared? Not yet, because I think it's a little bit early, but certainly paying attention after what just happened in Texas."
