At least 1 student injured during school bus crash in Johnston County

JOHNSTON COUNTY (WTVD) -- Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle accident including a Johnston County school bus.

The incident happened Thursday afternoon near NC 96 South at Godwin Lake Road in Benson.

The bus from Meadow Elementary School was carrying 24 students.

According to school officials, at least one student was injured and transported to the hospital.

Officials have not commented on how the incident occurred.

Drivers in that area should expect delays.
