Fayetteville Police seek suspect in 4 business thefts

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Police Department is seeking the public's assistance identifying a suspect responsible for committing multiple thefts in the Fayetteville area at various businesses.

Officers with FPD have identified at least four thefts incidents that have been committed by this suspect since July of 2017.

The investigations have revealed the suspect enters the business with a bag, walks around the business, and when out of view of the employees he begins to fill the bag with merchandise.

The suspect then flees the business without paying for the merchandise.

The thefts happened at the following locations:

  • July 3, 2017 - Family Dollar located at 929 McArthur Road
  • July 7, 2017 - Family Dollar located at 3412 Murchison Road
  • July 9, 2017 - Food Lion located at 929 McArthur Road
  • August 31, 2017 - Family Dollar located at 1907 Murchison Road

Officers have obtained surveillance photos from the business and are requesting anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photos to please contact police.
