Fall means festivals in the Triangle. While the official start of Fall isn't until Friday, Sept. 22, the season is in full swing in Central North Carolina.

One of the biggest festivals, SPARKcon runs Sept. 14-17 in downtown Raleigh. It's a creativity festival with street performers, music, vendors, and artists. One of the highlights begins Friday, Sept. 15 at 3:00pm when over 700 street painters cover two and a half city blocks of SPARKcon's footprint with chalk and illustrious murals.

Here's a list of some of the other festivals:

We also feature Café Insecta, where the brave can sample buggy dishes prepared by local chefs.
