HOPE MILLS, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A Hope Mills restaurant helped out some very hungry Guardsmen Sunday night.

The Pizza Hut at 3016 Hope Mills Road, Hope Mills, fed about 60 members of New Jersey National Guard's 253rd Transport Company. They were on their way home from helping out with the Hurricane Irma relief in Georgia and Florida.

When the restaurant's manager, Ricki McMillian, was called by a wife in the unit, she was asked to seat twenty of the soldiers, but McMillian did not hesitate to feed all 60 for FREE!

Everyone in the unit said they are very grateful for the restaurant's hospitality.

With full stomachs, the unit is pushing north to return to their homes in Cape May, New Jersey.
