Fayetteville police are investigating a rape that was reported Friday about 6:40 p.m along the 500 block of Old Wilmington Road.

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating a rape that was reported Friday about 6:40 p.m along the 500 block of Old Wilmington Road.

Police said that a woman was walking on Bragg Boulevard when a man offered her a ride.

According to reports, the man then drove her to the area of Old Wilmington Road where he raped her in broad daylight.

The suspect is described as a black man, late 20's to early 30's, skinny build, medium complexion skin, with a short afro. He was wearing glasses and a black t-shirt with gold writing and driving a white 4-door sedan with a tan interior.
