JOHNSTON COUNTY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- On Saturday afternoon, authorities responded to a call about a van in the Neuse River at NC 42 east of Clayton.

According to the NC State Highway Patrol, no one was found in the van and it had apparently been pushed from the river bank, not off the bridge or NC 42.

Officials said they believe this was a result of a domestic dispute; however, they did not comment further.
