Female pedestrian injured in Durham hit and run

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday evening on S. Roxboro Street near Enterprise Street, Durham Police said.

The woman sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Police said she suffered what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Her condition was not immediately known,

It happened about 9 p.m.

There was no immediate word on the vehicle involved.

Police are investigating and interviewing witnesses at the scene.
