Hundreds of volunteers look to make community impact

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Deah day has been an annual event for the UNC School of Dentistry since 2015.

Over 400 Students, faculty, and staff of the school gathered at various locations across the triangle for the day of giving Thursday - a day honoring Deah Shaddy Barakat and his wife Yusor Mohammad Abu-Sales. Both were killed, along with Yusor's sister, Ryazan Mohammad Abu-Sales in February of 2015.
