Car plows into Watkins Grill in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Authorities are investigating after a car plowed into Watkins Grill on Wake Forest Road in Raleigh.

The incident happened around 5 Friday evening.

According to ABC11 crews on scene, one person was transported to the hospital; however, officials have not commented on the severity of their injuries.

Fire crews are on scene assessing how much damage was caused. No one was inside the building when the crash happened.

Officials have not commented on how the incident occurred.

The restaurant is closed until further notice.
