HOPE MILLS (WTVD) -- ABC11 Together is highlighting a very deserving little boy's wish coming true. On Thursday, Creed Kolasa received the surprise of a lifetime surrounded by friends and family at his preschool in Hope Mills.

Creed can write his name and even read small words. But there are some things that are becoming increasingly hard for him.

"It's a daily struggle," said Creed's mother, Jessica Kolasa. "His muscles are weaker than the typical 5-year-old. Jumping, running, but he's a fighter and he tries."

Creed suffers from Duchenne, a terminal form of muscular dystrophy.

The boy is testing out an experimental medication to help prolong his life, but Thursday, he got a different dose of hope, a surprise from out of this world - the Galactic Empire to be exact.

Darth Vader, Sandtroopers, and R2-D2 paid the preschool class a visit. And Creed's face lit up as he was led away a Sandtrooper who told Creed what his real surprise was ... "Disneyland," Creed yelled!

Thanks to Make-A-Wish, Creed will travel to Disney World, Universal Studios, and LEGOLAND. While Creed couldn't hold back his excitement, paratroopers, in his father's division, and Stormtroopers let the emotions flow.

"He's a fighter every day, always a happy little boy," said Creed's dad.

Creed's family's visit to Disney World is set for November 6.
