UberEATS launches in the Triangle
re you looking for a new delivery service because you're too tired to cook dinner tonight? Well, have no fear because UberEATS is here!

TRAIANGLE (WTVD) -- Wednesday morning brought humidity and clouds to the area, but despite the frizzy hair and ruined makeup the day promised, Triangle-area residents had something to look forward to - UberEATS.

When UberEats launched in the Triangle-area Wednesday it already had 100 restaurants on board.

That's right, the company that has been actively competing with taxi cabs for years now reached out to restaurant owners about a month ago, hoping business owners would be on board.

"This allows our customers to have dinner delivered in 20 minutes or less," said the owner of The Refectory Cafe in Durham, Laura Hall.

Delivery was previously an unavailable option for many of the restaurants on the app, including hers, unless it was a catered order.

The app functions with simplicity. Simply download, select your restaurant choice, place your order, and wait.

Drivers are limited to a six-mile radius from the restaurant. The app also allows you to see the progress of your food as well as where your driver is at.

If you've had a bad experience with inedible food in the past and are hesitant with the delivery service, UberEATS has an agreement with their restaurants.

Only top quality food leaves the restaurant. Reviews can also be left and read, just as if you're riding with an Uber driver.

Users can utilize a discount code for the app by using "EATSTRIANGLE."
