After investigating, deputies determined that two armed men approached another male at a nearby birthday party and an altercation ensued.

Authorities said the intended target took off running and the two armed subjects opened fire; one of the bullets went through the wall of the mobile home in which the infant lived.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males. One suspect was wearing a mask and the other wasn't.

The incident is still under investigation.
