House fire in Apex causes significant damage

APEX, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Fire officials in Apex are currently investigating a house fire that caused some significant damage.

The fire chief said that the fire started at about 8:45 a.m. on Sunday.

No one was home at the time at the fire.

The fire caused one lane of US64 eastbound between 751 and Richardson Road to shut down.

There is still no cause on how it got started, an investigation is currently being conducted.
