CARY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- On Monday, the Town of Cary will implement a new schedule for its curbside collection routes.

The change affects about half of Cary's curbside collection customers, shifting all solid waste services from Tuesday-Friday to Monday-Thursday.

"This re-route makes our routes more equitable, which ensures our citizens receive the most efficient, reliable and cost-effective curbside service," Public Works Director, Scott Hecht said. "The success of our waste management is made possible by citizen participation and we appreciate their support in this transition."

Cary curbside collection will continue to collect recycling at the curb every other week on a blue/yellow week schedule.

You can check what days your service may have shifted to on the town's curbside collection rebalancing map
