Avery County Christmas tree graces Raleigh City Plaza

RALEIGH, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Drive in the North Carolina mountains this time of year and you'll likely end up behind a truck carrying Christmas trees.

North Carolina has about 1,300 Christmas tree growers, farming approximately 40,000 acres.

Sugar Mountain Nursery is one of those farms and this year, it's providing the Raleigh City Plaza tree.
