Pedestrian struck, seriously injured in Durham

DURHAM, NC (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was injured when he was struck in the roadway by a vehicle while crossing the street Thursday.

Durham Police said the man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

It happened at the intersection of Cheek Road and Hardee Street.

A Nissan sedan at the scene showed damage to the windshield.

Police had no other immediate details.

The incident is still under investigation.
