Man shot near downtown Durham bus station

DURHAM, NC (WTVD) -- A man was shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon in Durham, police said.

The shooting happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Willard Street and Jackson Street. The 21-year-old victim went to the nearby bus station for help.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

No charges have been filed. The shooting remains under investigation.
