4 jailed after one Chatham Co. meth lab leads to a 2nd

CHATHAM COUNTY (WTVD) -- Four people were arrested after narcotics officers with the Chatham County Sheriff's Office found methamphetamine labs at two Chatham County homes.

Armed with a search warrant, officers entered a house in the 5800 block of Bonlee Bennett Road in Bear Creek on Feb. 11 and discovered the drug lab.

The house belongs to Kevin Andrews, 46, and Brooke Green, 32.

Once inside, officers discovered information about another lab in the 100 block of Rock Springs Church Road in Pittsboro.

On Wednesday, officers entered that residence and found a meth lab there. In the house were Andrews, Green and two other people, Robert Warren, 57, and Edna Spivey, 52.

All four people were charged with a total of 49 felonies and 6 misdemeanors, including: Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing/Distributing Meth Precursor, Maintaining a Dwelling, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule II Substance, Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Simple Possession of Schedule II Substance.

The sheriff's office was assisted by the SBI Clandestine Laboratory HazMat Team during both operations. Official reports state that approximately 374.3 grams of methamphetamine were seized.

Andrews, Green, Warren and Spivey are scheduled for court on March 28.
