Seymour Johnson Air Force sergeant charged with child sex solicitation

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Seymour Johnson Air Force Base sergeant was arrested during an undercover operation to catch online predators soliciting minors for sex.

Air Force Technical Sergeant Michael Joe Willis, from Goldsboro, has been charged with solicitation of a child by computer for sex.

The undercover operation was conducted on Wednesday. Willis requested that the undercover agent, who posed as a 15-year-old girl, meet him at a Fayetteville motel. He also told the agent he would pay her.

Willis is being held in the Cumberland County jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
