GREENSBORO (WTVD) -- A missing infant from Guilford County was found in Randolph County, according to Capt. Robert Hamilton with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday afternoon, an Amber Alert was issued for 2-month-old Joseph Richardson Pearson.

Randolph County sheriff's deputies located the child, Hamilton said. The child is "OK" but Hamilton could not elaborate on the child's condition, WGHP reports.

The child was said to be with his parents, 28-year-old Jimmy Ray Pearson and 24-year-old Allissa Corrinne Fink.

The child was found with Fink, Hamilton said.

A child endangerment case is being investigated, according to Hamilton.

Pearson and Fink were with the child at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill on Oct. 17, Hamilton said. Hospital personnel had some concerns about possible child abuse and reported them to the Department of Social Services, prompting an investigation.

Deputies went to the parents' last known address Monday night but could not locate the parents or the child.

Hamilton said Guilford County DSS will take custody of the child sometime Tuesday night.

There is no word on charges at this time.
