Arrest made in fatal Friday night shooting at Raleigh apartment complex

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Authorities have made an arrest in a fatal Friday night shooting.

Raleigh police say Darius Lamont Watkins, 19, shot and killed 20-year-old Casty St. Louis in the 6300-block of Shadowland Crossing Friday evening.

It happened around 6:40 p.m. at the River Birch at Town Center apartments near Old Wake Forest Road.

Police said St. Louis was rushed to WakeMed by ambulance, but there was nothing doctors could do.

Watkins is now charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He is being held in the Wake County Detention Center without bond.
