Authorities investigating deadly home invasion in Cumberland County

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion that has left one person dead.

Investigators were called to a home on the 300 block of Brooklyn Circle in Fayetteville just before 2 a.m. Saturday. That's when deputies found 23-year-old Theodore Horton shot to death.

Authorities say no one else who lived inside the home was injured.

The body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Raleigh.

Horton is believed to be homeless.
