Man arrested for violent attack
Fayetteville police responded to a violent domestic disturbance early Friday morning that left a woman in the hospital and her attacker in jail.

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police responded to a violent domestic disturbance early Friday morning that left a woman in the hospital and her attacker in jail.

Police received the call around 2:20 a.m. to the 6400 block of Coachmans Way. Police said the accused attacker, 29-year-old David Ryan Nobilese, brutally abused his victim.

Authorities said Nobilese began punching and attacking the victim inside a car on their way back to Coachmans Way. He then pulled into a business on Morganton Road. Once there, police said Nobilese continued his violent attack.

Nobilese continued on to their residence on Coachmans Way. Once inside, police said the victim tried to keep Nobilese out, but he forced his way inside. He strangled the victim held a handgun to her head, threatening to kill her.

According to authorities, the victim ran out of the apartment and got the attention of neighbors. Nobilese was taken into custody once officers arrived.

The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she was treated and released.

Nobilese is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 secured bond. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, assault on a female, and communication of threats.
